Control Panel Layout

The 4-channel controller is composed of two deck controllers that sandwich a central mixing console. There are three 7-inch touch screen displays that provide direct access to track information such as: titles, BPM and key using deck display mode, and enlarged waveforms for each track, including loops and Hot Cues in mixer display mode. The large aluminium jog wheels are optimised to ensure the subtle nuances of your scratch technique is translated with the utmost accuracy. With a selection of buttons, knobs, faders, a pair of large jog wheels, and a club-quality magnetic crossfader at your disposal, you have everything on-hand to ensure smooth and seamless performances.

The Magvel magnetic fader offers a smooth response, with dual metal shafts that support the fader’s knobs, and a contact-free magnetic system guarantees resilience throughout each and every performance. The RZX’s layout gives you absolute control over all four of rekordbox DJ’s decks, with each channel taking on independent level meters and trim pots for dynamic control. You can also use the DDJ-RZX as a stand-alone mixer if you wish.

Pristine Signal Reproduction

The DDJ-RZX is equipped with AC inlets for reduced cable contact resistance, whilst a high-performance 96kHz/32 bit digital-to-analogue converter made by Asahi Kasei, guarantees optimum audio fidelity. The low-jitter clock IC and 96kHz/24 bit USB sound card guarantees a powerful, high-quality sound that is at home in the most exclusive of clubs. Whether you’re practising at home, or performing to a crowd of thousands, the DDJ-RZX is designed and built to impress.

FX Control

The DDJ-RZX is equipped with four preset Sound Color FX buttons – Space, Jet, Pitch and Filter. Pad FX gives you complete creative expression by allowing you to create multiple FX chains using all 16 pads. Not only that, but the Sequencer mode allows you to record, play and loop sample sequences on the fly. Advanced features include being able to trigger up to three of rekordbox DJ’s quantized Beat FX, with the ability to twist the dial to manipulate the parameters of each. Not only that, but for ultimate creative control, you can even release complex FX patterns with a vinyl brake, echo or back spin!

The new oscillator sampler allows you to overlay four pre-set sounds – Horn, Noise, Sine, Siren – and then modulate the output using the controller dial. The sampler also allows you to trigger and manipulate user created samples that are loaded to the banks in rekordbox DJ.

Rekordbox Video

The Pioneer DDJ-RZX 4-Channel Professional Rekordbox DJ and Video Controller allows you to seamlessly integrate visual content into your performances. Using rekordbox DJ and rekordbox Video, you can manage video and image files in the rekordbox library, load them into a deck as you would an audio file, then add text overlays and FX. You can even connect a digital camera to your laptop to stream and mix live video footage. Transition FX allows you to use the crossfader to switch between 2 videos, whilst the Touch FX allows you to add effects and adjust their parameters by tracing along the X and Y axes on the touch screen display.

Connectivity

The DDJ-RZX offers six inputs, which enables you to connect CDJs or analogue turntables. The booth and dual master outputs enable connections directly to professional PA equipment for those taking their performances to parties and clubs. Pioneer has improved both mic inputs to eliminate distortion, allowing you and your MC to be heard loud and clear without the interference. Dual USB ports (equipped with an A/B-switch) enable you to connect two computers at the same time.
